The Summit Gear Cockatoo rucksack is a great compromise between a large daypack and a small overnight pack. The narrow profile and clean design allows for easy passage through scrub. Easy access front and side pockets are complemented by a zip pocket in the hood for small essential items. The Cockatoo is consistently one of our most popular packs.

The Cockatoo is the second smallest (the Kedumba is the smallest) pack in our range to feature a full padded wingbelt , and most importantly, a custom mouldable internal frame. Moulding the frame is a very easy process and provides excellent fit and comfort for all day walking.

For travellers, you'll be pleased to know that if you are a conscientious packer and don't overfill the pack too much, you can sneak the Cockatoo pack on to planes as hand luggage. It technically is a little larger than the airline requirements but we've never been questioned about its size.
