PFH BOLT PLATE 45 REMOVABLE

The most common removable bolt plate in Australia. Still required on many middle and easy grade routes (e.g. Blue Mountains). Made from 2mm high tensile austanetic-feritic stainless steel. Although you can put a magnet to these, they are a marine grade and are twice as strong as 316 grade stainless steel.

Best stored in a separate chalk bag or usual chalk bag for ease of access on route. It's important to clip only solid gate carabiners to bolt plates as wire gates can leave a gap for accidental detachment off the bolt head. The 45 degree version allows for threading over bigger bolt heads which is sometimes necessary.
