The ultimate in light weight remote medical pack. The Summit Gear Access 65 Medical pack leverages the Ultralight design of our most popular hiking pack - The Overland 60.
The body of the pack is made from UHMWPE - Ultra 200X which has a tensile strength that is 15x stronger than steel. It is incredibly lightweight, abrasion resistant, waterproof, UV resistant . The result of this is that the Access 65 Medical Pack weighs in at only 1.15kgs
The back of the pack is made from Ultragrid™ – a true innovation in sustainability and strength. Ultragrid is woven at a Bluesign® approved facility with 210d recycled nylon yarn from pre-consumer industrial waste and is interwoven with UHMPWE thread, to make a lightweight super ripstop nylon. Ultragrid™ provides exceptional tear-strength and visual impact. UltraGrid™ has a C0 DWR coating, free from toxic PFCs, and is finished with a waterproof 1500mm PU backing.
We have incorporated two stretch pockets into the hip belt – ideal for a smartphone and snacks which is made from UltraStretch™ - a 4-way stretch mesh woven with the highest quality Ultra fibers. This fabric is so tough that our auto-cutting machine cannot cut it, thus requiring hand cutting with carbon shears to bring you the performance and longevity that would expect in any Summit Gear pack. In addition there are two UltraStretch™  pockets on the side of the pack designed to be large enough to take a 1L Nalgene water bottle. These pockets are sloped front to back to make it possible to grab your water bottle without taking your pack off.
The base of any pack takes a pounding, we have used Ultra 800X which which is the most abraison proof material we can find and weighs 25% less than 1000D Cordura.. The fabrics used on the pack are waterproof and all the seams are tape sealed to produce a weatherproof pack.

1) In addition to access into the pack through the light weight rolltop the Access 65 Medical Pack also has easy access through the back of the pack. This innovative design makes the pack a dream to carry but also provides amazing access to all your essential equipment through the back of the pack. The pack has been designed to work with the Ultralight Medical Pouches (not included) and the Ultralight Drug Box (not included) so that when you open the back of the pack the Medical box automatically comes out with the flap, providing easy access to the medical pouches.
2) Winch rated loops front and back for hauling the bag into helicopters. The front and back winch loop configurations ensures that the bag hangs vertically when on the winch.
3) Reflective strips on the shoulder straps and the front pocket of the pack to ensure that there is great visibility is low light.
4) Integrated velcro strips on the back access panel and the front of the pack to secure the Ultralight medical pouches and drug box.Â
5) Made from waterproof material that can be easily wiped down to reduce contamination.
6) Seams are all fully taped to reduce water ingress.
7) Large stash pocket at the front for easy access to essential items such as jackets and rain gear.
8) Large side pockets that can take 1L Nalgene water bottles and slope forward to enable you to grab the bottle without taking the pack off.
9) Front hipbelt pockets for easy assess to smart phone or snacks
