The Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, contains a wide variety of walks, climbs and canyons. This book describes many of the walks available with all standards of walk included - from the most basic beginners walks to the most adventurous and testing. Each walk is graded (1 to 6 scale) and a distance or estimated time are provided with a map and and description of how to find the start and how to get back to your starting point at the end. Most of the walks are short - likely to take a half day or less, though there are several longer walks - up to 5 days. The book includes 162 separate walks - something for everyone.
The author, Roger Collison, has been walking in the Mountains for 50 years and regularly travels with the main bushwalking clubs of the area include the Bush Club, Sydney Bushwalkers and the Upper Blue Mountains Bushwalking Club.
